Costumes To Go is a Social Enterprise, incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. We are governed by social clauses and profits are reinvested to provide a wider benefit to the community.

These are some of our aims and objectives:

• To provide community services, skills development and training
• To actively involve and engage schools, colleges and community groups
• To provide work experience opportunities, placements and apprenticeship schemes
• To designing, manufacture and maintain appropriate costumes for theatrical and drama productions
• To work in partnership with public sector, private businesses and other community organisations, to support local regeneration

We are a small but dedicated team with many years experience in costume and prop design:

Maureen Rhys (Director) has worked for twenty years in the professional costume industry, designing and supplying costumes for television and professional theatre in London & Wales. Her professional credits at the BBC include The Two Ronnies, Big Deal, Eastenders, Top of the Pops, Hotel Du Lac. Independent credits include Rhacsyn A’r Coeden Hyd, Dinas, Morfydd, Cwy Haul, Y Glas, Pelidyr X and she was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru in 1988. Maureen has also styled numerous presenters and celebrities for television appearances. Maureen is happy to share and use her extensive skills and knowledge for this exciting new business.

Deborah Rees BA (Hons) (Director) has over ten years experience in drama (performing, directing and costume/props), and has combined her professional management skills and passion for theatre to help establish the new Costumes to Go business. She is also trained in pattern cutting and making, and has designed and created clothing for retail outlets.

TRAINING DAYS
In addition to our teacher training days, Costumes To Go is also able to offer secondary and college students training days and educational visits. During these visits we can offer tailor made sessions on all aspects of the costume industry.
